Why use vinyl or plastic to protect your baby’s crib mattress when it can restrict their air flow and possibly create a greater risk for SIDS? These pure wool pads are made of only 100% organic materials to be sure that your baby can breathe and sleep safely. Pure organic wool is a natural fire-retardant and also naturally resists mildew, bacteria and dust mites with its 100 micron opening. (For further dust mite protection, we recommend the crib mattress barrier cover as it is heat pressed to a 6 micron opening so that no dust mites can get in at all.)

This protective pad is expertly felted to naturally repel liquids. It will protect your mattress investment from urine leaks, watery bowel movement leaks, spit-up, whatever! When your child has a diaper leak the mess will sit on top op this pad in a puddle, not being allowed to absorb through to the mattress. You need cotton on top to absorb the liquid. Though a sheet will work, we recommend using our mattress pad on top of this pad for maximum absorbency and comfort to your baby.

Concerned about wool allergies? Don't be. Pure wool is hypo-allergenic. Often when people are having allergic reactions to wool, it is the chemicals in the wool that they are reacting to. That will not be a problem with our pads.
